If you are a professional that either owns a mobile home park or manages one, this article is for you. Managing a mobile home park on MHUnited.com is quick, easy, and very beneficial to your community.
Step 1: Let us know that you are responsible for the mobile home park(s).
To do this you will need to search for your park under the "Communities" section. Once you are viewing your community details (which should have little to no information at the moment) you will need to click on the button that says "+ Community Representative". After you submit the form it will be sent to our Member Services department for review. The review typically takes less than 24 hours if submitted during a business day. If you are approved as being the community representative you will then receive an email notifying you of your acceptance.
Step 2: Uploading photos and community details
Go to "My Account" then "My Communities". From here you can "edit details" and upload photos. When loading photos know that the first photo loaded will become the thumb nail for search results and also displayed as the primary photo for the community. It is very important that you put good photos and a great description up of your mobile home park. This will help in future home sales and in return keep occupancy high.
Step 3: Managing reviews
Every so often it is good to check to see if anyone reviewed your communities. If you did receive a mobile home park review we hope it was a good, honest review. At any time if you feel that you should respond to a review, whether it was a positive or negative one, you can do so by going to "My Communities" then "Manage Reviews". From this section you can see your mobile home park reviews and post a "reply".
Step 4: List mobile homes for sale
Listing park owned homes for sale on MH United is a great way to get them sold fast. The great thing about listing your homes for sale with us is that they will show up in three places. 1.) In the community reviews section. The most important place in my opinion is right next to your community reviews. This increases the chances of a sale since many buyers are using our community directory to find the best community that fits their needs and their budgets. 2.) Underneath your company profile. All the homes you have for sale will show up undearneath your company profile which will provide buyers confidence when purchasing. 3.) In the Buy section. Like the other websites out there we also have an area to search by different criteria. To take this area a step further we have added some additional search criteria and tools to help buyers find their next home.
Step 5: Cross marketing ideas
One of our members uses MH United in tandem with their Craigslist ads. They include our link in every ad they post so that potential buyers can see more information and photos of their communities. This method also gives their Craigslist ads greater legitimacy in the eyes of a potential home buyer. They have found great success in obtaining offers through MH United and have drastically increased their home sales closings.
Step 6: Spread the word
People love to read and write reviews these days. Many of us here at MH United realized that we don't even try a new restaurant without first checking to see if it was properly reviewed. Now imagine how much more important a home purchase is than a simple dinner selection. The more people that review your community the more legitimate your community will appear, the more exposure your community will receive, and in turn the higher your occupancy rates will be. By not spreading the word you are only doing yourself an injustice.
